The Best Restaurants in Harwich, MA
The Mad Minnow
The Minnow as the locals know it. From fish and chips, to a glutinous burger, to one of the best Rigatoni Bolognese you’ll find.
Don’t worry, there’s some healthy options too. Their food is seriously good, and there’s an outdoor seating area for those cool summer nights.
Cape Sea Grille
The Sea Grille is easily the best fine(r) dining experience in Harwich. Parenthesis because it’s certainly not an uppity atmosphere, but the food is definitly high class.
Boasting mostly seafood, the Sea Grille is certainly the top choice for classic Cape dishes in the Harwich area.
3 Monkeys
Right on Main Street in Harwichport, 3 Monkeys is probably the best combination of great food + ambiance in the area. It’s a sushi bar with an open air concept that caters to families and drinkers alike.
There’s more than just sushi, but it is pretty much exclusive asian cuisine. Same building (and owners) as The Mad Minnow.
Buca’s
Listen, as foodies who have lived in Rome for long stretches, there isn’t really authentic “Italian” menus anywhere on the Cape. That said, starter to entree, Buca’s has some of the best Italian you’ll find around.
It’s a small dining room with an even smaller parking lot, so make sure to make a reservation.
The Lanyard
The Lanyard is slept on. On a peninsula chalk-full of sports bars boasting pub food, this place stands out. It’s just really quality bar food, with a cape twist.
Burgers, steak and cheese, and steak tips are a few of our favorites.
Hot Stove Saloon
The Stove is a famous spot. It’s a baseball themed sports bar with really solid pub food. The atmosphere is an ode to the glory days of Cape League Baseball - if you’re a sports fan you’ll really appreciate it.
They just built a nice little outdoor standing area that puts you right on main street. Highly recommend the sausage sandwich, like you’re sitting in Fenway.
Dairy Queen
Wait really? Yes, really. Fast food isn’t really a thing on lower Cape, so DQ is the closest thing you’ll get.
People sleep on DQ’s food, their burgers and chicken fingers are actually really solid. Plus any excuse to get a blizzard. Grill & Chill, as they say.
